the goodbye kiss

The kids and I decided to take advantage of a couple days off of school and head out of town.  We left Sunday night.  Chris was so great and helped us get all packed to go.  On the way out the door Chris picked up Bentley and started to open the door.  Then he stopped, turned around and gave me a really great good-bye kiss.  You know, the kind you wish every kiss was like.  Perfect.  We looked into each other's eyes...and then at the same time we kind of realized that Chris was still holding Bentley.  Our heads turned towards him.  His nose was all wrinkled up.  And he paused and then said, "GOSS!"  That's Bentley for gross!  Oops!  poor kid.
Oddly enough, Chris was also holding B in this picture.  Although it was a "let's pose for a picture kiss, not a kiss, kiss."

Today and everyday I'm thankful that I have a hot man to make out with! (wink)

If I were Buffy...

(Buffy my sister in law, not the vampire slayer)  Well, if I were I would have this picture enlarged:

Then I would hang it in they boys' room just to encourage sword play.  But that's just me.

put your hands on your hips, Malachi

So I'm just looking through some pictures to update my LJ website.  This one gets me every time!  "Put your hands on your hips Malachi! Your hips!"  "Oh........Your hips are down here, bud!"  SO Funny!  I just love that kid!

I lost my will to blog

Yes, sad but true.  The desire to blog completely left me.  Not one lingering nag to the computer was left in my entire being.  But then I realized.  I'm lonely in NashVegas what with the little problem of not have any girlfriends.  And so it is.  This is the closest thing I have.  I guess it's a little less pathetic, considering most of you guys have been my very good friends (and still are) we just don't live near each other anymore.
Friendship is important.  And I think the best gift we gave our kids over the holidays was a trip to Maryville just to see Chickie and Bentley's BFFs.  Luckily they are in the same family.  Edie and Charlotte.  And luckily, their mom is a friend of mine.  So Sarah and I played scrabble, she demolished me.  Of course.  She's a scrabble wiz!  The kids were so happy to be together.  Ah, human interaction, so nice!
So anyway.  We had a great holiday in 2008.  2009 got off to a bit of a rough start what with the plague hitting our house.  But perhaps that's a story for another post.  I'm not holding it against 2009.  I'm planning on having a happy and very prosperous year!  And no need for resolutions, I've got so many things still going from last year my biggest goal is just to keep on keeping on!
I'm grateful some of you missed me!  I miss you too!
