Saturday is a special day

Seriously, I love Saturday.  Wearing PJs all day and cleaning. Awesome.  Listening to how-to books on i pod while mopping.  Fabulo-so!  Cutting out piles and piles of fabric for purses and color wheel quilt while watching chic flicks.  The best!  Making my own folders for said pieces of fabric...well, that's just ridiculous because I had real folders less than three feet away.  But, what do you do?  Poor Chris, he's STILL working on that house... Uh, oh. I guess it's technically not saturday anymore.  The only thing missing from today was m&ms.  But, it's probably for the best.

I want to have your kind of Saturday's. I'm going to work on that.
Drea, I think I'm going to attempt to make a canvas rug. I saw some cool patterns on Martha Stuart living. I always loved yours and am excited to have somewhere to put it. Wish me luck and I'm going to call you for advice. :)How are you making folders?
What purse patterns do you have? I need to make something cool with my new sewing machine.

So exciting about the canvas rug!! I am still working on one that I started last year. It's huge. When we put our house up for sale I had to move it outside and quit working on it. Then it was winter and I didn't want to work on it in the cold (because this house is too small to work on it anywhere but the garage) and I think I waited too long. because now it's just too HOT to work on it! I need help.

I am making a simple bag from the last minute patchwork and quilted gifts by Joelle Hoverson. And i'm going to soon be making the weekender bag by amy butler. yay!

I made folders with big paper and tape. Not pretty. Just utilitarian.
